Wilmington’s Pre-Halloween Event Just Got Bigger and Better!
Although we loved having all those little ghouls and goblins downtown for a Pre-Halloween event, the candy-grab action is moving to J.W. Denver Williams Memorial Park this year. We are so excited to support this new idea and think it’s a great alternative to our traditional downtown gathering.
Wilmington Parks & Recreation will be hosting its 1st Annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 28th from 6pm-8pm. This free event will feature candy (of course) games, giveaways, outdoor movie w/popcorn, a photo booth and much more! What’s the trunk part you ask? Everyone comes together to trick-or-treat out of the trunks of decorated cars. Kiddos have the opportunity to trick or treat in a safe and controlled environment in one of our awesome city parks.
Although everyone loves candy —one sugar-packed event per weekend is probably enough! Trunk or Treat event will take the place of the Main Street Wilmington Downtown Trick or Treat and will offer much more room for activities, without safety or traffic concerns. Be assured that Trunk or Treat does NOT replace the city-wide Beggars Night which will happen on Tuesday – October 31st from 6-8 pm.
